Ingredients

  • 100 g date (s), cut into small pieces, weihed without stone
  • 150 ml water
  • 60 g mararine or butter
  • 80 g suar, brown
  • 0.5 ½ pack vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 2 Table spoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 110 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking soda
  • possibly powdered sugar
  • possibly grated chocolate

Instructions

  1. The amount is enough for an 18 springform pan.
  2. Put the chopped dates in a bowl, bring the water to the boil and pour over the dates. Cover and leave until the water is lukewarm.
  3. Then stir the margarine or butter together with the sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon until soft. Add eggs one by one, stir until frothy. Stir in the milk. Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa. Add the water / date mixture, mix everything well. Pour into the mold and put in the oven. Bake at 165 ° convection for approx. 50 minutes.
  4. Dust with icing sugar or sprinkle chocolate shavings on the cake while it is still hot.
  5. For a 26 springform pan, double the amount and extend the baking time by approx. 10 minutes. (Chopstick sample)
