  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • cinnamon
  • 100 ml cream substitute (Rama Cremefine for whipping)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. Clean the figs and cut into eighths. Then arrange in a fan shape on two plates.
  2. Whip the Cremefine with the vanilla sugar and set aside.
  3. Melt the sugar in a coated pan without fat, use a slightly higher temperature, but be careful - it shouldn`t caramelize properly.
  4. When the sugar is completely liquefied, pour some orange juice into the pan, the bottom should be covered. Beware of the development of steam! At first, this syrupy sauce will blow many bubbles, a little more orange juice usually helps.
  5. If the sauce has the right consistency (I found it similar to buttermilk), add half a teaspoon of cinnamon - preferably in small quantities, otherwise it can get bitter. The sauce can also be reduced further, depending on personal taste.
  6. Nap the figs with the hot sauce and serve with the set aside Cremefine.
