French Croutons with Strawberries

Bright and mouth-watering sweet toast with strawberries is a wonderful breakfast that will cheer you up with just its look. Loaf slices are soaked in an egg-milk mixture and fried until golden brown. And then the French croutons are complemented with strawberries. They turn out to be tender, fragrant, and very tasty!

Ingredients

  • Strawberries – 200-250 g
  • White bread (loaf) – 6 slices (170 g)
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Milk – 30 ml
  • Sugar – 20 g
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 30-45 ml (2-3 tablespoons)

Directions

  1. Break the eggs into a bowl, add milk and sugar.
  2. Beat with a whisk until smooth and sugar are completely dissolved.
  3. Dip the loaf slices into the milk and egg mixture.
  4. Heat 1-2 tablespoon in a frying pan. tablespoons of vegetable oil. Put the loaf slices in the pan.
  5. Fry sweet croutons over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  6. Fry the croutons in batches, adding vegetable oil as needed. Put the finished croutons on a plate.
  7. Wash the strawberries, dry them, and cut them into slices about half a centimeter thick.
  8. Place the chopped strawberries on top of the croutons.
