French Toast Strawberry

Strawberry French Toast – White bread with strawberry jam, fried in an egg and milk mixture. Excellent breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Toast bread (“yesterday”) – 8 pieces
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Milk – 0.25 cups
  • Strawberry jam – 0.5 cups
  • Salt – 0.25 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Powdered sugar (for serving) – to taste

Directions

  1. Beat eggs with milk and salt.
  2. Brush 4 slices of bread with strawberry jam and cover with the remaining slices.
  3. Cut off the crusts of the bread. Cut each jam and toast into thirds.
  4. Dip the prepared toasts in the egg-milk mixture on all sides.
  5. Fry the croutons (French toast) in a lightly oiled skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. When serving, sprinkle the French strawberry toast with icing sugar.
