French Toast with Coconut

Ingredients

  • Egg – 4 Pieces
  • Milk – 1 Glass
  • French baguette – 1 Piece
  • Coconut flakes – 1 Cup (sweet)
  • Vegetable oil – To taste (for frying)
  • Sugar, salt, spices – To taste

Directions

  1. Cut the baguette into medium slices. Whisk eggs and milk in a deep bowl. Add a pinch of salt, some sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a dash of cayenne pepper if desired. Mix everything well. Heat a skillet with oil in parallel.
  2. Dip each baguette slice in the milk and egg mixture for 15 seconds, then roll in the coconut on all sides. Place in a skillet and fry on both sides over medium heat until golden brown.
  3. These are the amazing French toast with coconut. Top with syrup, a scoop of ice cream and serve immediately.
