French Sandwich

We present to your attention the French sandwich “Croque-monsieur”. It is impossible to convey the tender crunch of toasts together with the juicy filling in words.

Cook: 20 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Baton – 4 slices
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Milk – 150-200 ml
  • Leeks – 1 pc.
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Provencal herbs – to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Greens (dill) – to taste

Directions

  1. Slice the loaf.
  2. Beat milk and eggs, add spices.
  3. Dip the loaf slices into the resulting milk-egg mixture, soak on both sides.
  4. Chop the onion and cheese, put in turn on the sandwich.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes at 180 degrees. Sprinkle the finished sandwich with chopped herbs.
