  • 800 g nocchi
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 packet tomato (s), happened
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • Parmesan, grated
  • possibly olive oil, for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • Ground cumin
  • oregano
  • thyme
  • rosemary
  • basil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the gnocchi according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. Fry the minced beef until crumbly (possibly with oil) and season with pepper, salt and cumin (important!). Put both in a deep baking dish and mix.
  3. Put the tomatoes in a pan or saucepan, add the cream cheese. Bring to the boil, stirring constantly, until the processed cheese has dissolved. Season the mixture with herbs, salt and pepper. Add to the minced meat and the gnocchi in the baking dish and mix everything well.
  4. Finally sprinkle the grated parmesan on top (amount to taste). The parmesan cheese gives the casserole a particularly spicy taste that goes very well with the ground beef seasoned with cumin. I therefore recommend this variant. If you want, you can also use other types of cheese or mix two types. For example, spread a layer of grated Gouda or Emmental cheese, followed by fine Parmesan. Gouda stays creamier, Emmentaler gets crispier - that`s a matter of taste.
  5. Place in the oven at 200 ° C (preheated) for approx. 15 minutes.
  6. Vegetarian variant:
  7. Omit the minced meat and replace it with fried or boiled vegetables to taste (e.g. eggplant, broccoli, zucchini). Don`t forget cumin!
