Ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • some flour to work with
  • 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 50 g mararine
  • 200 ml buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 225 ° C.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt well.
  3. Add the margarine and mix everything well with your fingers.
  4. Make a well in the middle of the flour mixture and add the buttermilk.
  5. Knead quickly to form a soft dough.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface into a square with a side length of 20 cm.
  7. Cut 16 squares and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  8. Bake the rolls for approx. 15-20 minutes (gas 4, fan oven 200 ° C) until they are lightly browned.
  9. Remove the finished rolls from the tray and serve them warm.
