Filipino Buns

Ingredients

  • Curd – 300 Grams
  • Sugar – 2-3 tbsp (to taste)
  • Yeast – 1.5 Teaspoons
  • Milk – 100 Milliliters
  • Butter – 50 Grams
  • Egg – 1 Piece (+ yolk)
  • Salt – 1 Teaspoon
  • Flour – 700 Grams (approximately)
  • Water – 100 Milliliters (syrup)
  • Sugar – 50-75 grams (syrup)

Directions

  1. Let’s prepare all the ingredients that we will use.
  2. The first step is to do the test. Dissolve yeast in warm milk, add butter, flour, egg and salt. Leave the dough to rise in a warm place for an hour and a half.
  3. To prepare the filling, we need cottage cheese and sugar.
  4. Mash the cottage cheese with sugar. Add vanillin if desired.
  5. Divide the finished dough into small pieces.
  6. Form the curd into balls.
  7. Mash the dough into a flat cake and place the filling in the center.
  8. And gently shape the buns.
  9. Whisk the yolk in a separate bowl.
  10. Grease buns with it and send to the oven preheated to 180 degrees.
  11. Meanwhile, you can boil the syrup. Combine sugar with water, bring to a boil. Once the sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat.
  12. After 35 minutes, the buns will brown and be ready.
  13. Immediately drizzle sweet syrup over them while hot.
  14. Cool slightly and serve.
