Ingredients

  • 0.5 ½ bunch thyme
  • 0.5 ½ bunch oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 pork schnitzel
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • Flour, for turning

Greek Herb Schnitzel with Feta Cheese

Instructions

  1. Wash the herbs and pluck the leaves off. Cut the garlic into thin slices.
  2. Put the schnitzel with the herbs and garlic and 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil in a freezer bag and marinate for approx. 2 hours.
  3. Halve the feta cheese first horizontally and then crosswise, so that you get 4 thin slices of cheese. Turn the cheese in flour.
  4. Just dab the schnitzel lightly, season with salt and pepper and fry nicely on each side.
  5. Remove the schnitzel from the pan, wrap in aluminum foil and let rest.
  6. Briefly fry the feta cheese slices in the hot frying fat of the schnitzel on both sides.
  7. Arrange the schnitzel on the plates and place the cheese slices on top of the schnitzel.
  8. A Greek farmer`s salad and baguette go perfectly with it.
