Homemade Bread with Cheese

Soft, fluffy, fragrant bread, cooked in the form of a pigtail, is an excellent pastry for breakfast. Great for sandwiches. Incredibly delicious! Homemade bread cannot be compared to stored bread, especially since the quality of purchased bread often leaves much to be desired.

Ingredients

  • Flour – 350 g
  • Milk – 175 ml
  • Small egg – 1 pc. (40 g)
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp (15 g)
  • Cheese – 25 g
  • Dry yeast – 15 g
  • Salt – 7 g
  • Sugar – 10 g

Directions

  1. You need to choose a good, high-quality, aromatic cheese. The taste of our homemade bread will directly depend on this. In the finished product, the taste of cheese will not be felt too clearly, but the taste will be original, and the aroma of cheese will be present, but it depends on the type of cheese.
  2. Dissolve granulated yeast in lukewarm milk, add an egg, salt, and sugar. Mix the ingredients. Grate cheese on a coarse grater or finely chop. Add some flour (about two quarters).
  3. In a bowl, we should have a viscous dough. Add the grated cheese. Put some of the remaining flour on the table, on it – a viscous dough.
  4. We will do the further kneading by hand, kneading the mass well until smooth and adding the remaining flour. We may not need all the flour. Melt the butter in a frying pan and cool. Let’s add to the test.
  5. And again, knead the dough well with butter. We will leave some of the oil to lubricate the pigtails. Divide the dough into three parts. Roll each part into a bundle. We will braid a pigtail from these plaits.
  6. Put the pigtail in a mold, greased with sunflower oil, and sprinkled with flour. Lubricate the pigtail with oil on top and set it to ripen.
  7. After a while (one and a half to two hours), the dough will come up and increase in size. We bake it until tender in a preheated oven at a temperature of 175 degrees.
  8. Remove the finished pigtail from the mold and cool. Wonderful fragrant homemade bread is ready. Perfect for morning coffee sandwiches!
