- 1 cup nettles, young, washed and finely chopped
- 300 ml milk
- some butter
- a bit salt
- some black pepper, freshly ground

- Let the nettles simmer in the milk for 20 minutes.
- Boil the potatoes in plenty of salted water, peel and mash them. Stir the cooked nettle-milk mixture into the potato mixture, season with salt and pepper and garnish with flakes of butter and serve hot.
