Ingredients

  • 1 kg Kasseler, released back
  • 400 ml meat broth
  • 700 g potato (s), (potatoes)
  • 500 g carrot (s)
  • 5 sprigs rosemary
  • 4 tablespoon maple syrup
  • salt and pepper
  • Olive oil, for the roaster and the vegetables

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C.
  2. Rinse and dry the meat and place in a greased roaster. Pour 200 ml of stock and stew for 40 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, peel, wash and halve the potatoes. Clean the carrots in the same way and cut into pieces approx. 3 cm in size.
  4. Pluck the rosemary needles from the stems and cut finely.
  5. Mix the vegetables with the oil, 1 tablespoon maple syrup and half of the rosemary needles, season with salt and pepper.
  6. Remainder Mix the rosemary needles with the rest of the syrup. Brush the roast with half of it. Now also put the vegetables in the roasting pan and pour in the rest of the broth. Let the roast cook in the oven for another 40 minutes.
  7. Brush with the rest of the maple syrup mixture 10 minutes before the end of the roasting time.
  8. To serve, cut the roast into slices and serve with the vegetables.
