Lush and Tender Cakes on Yogurt (Bake and Fry)

We love tortillas with and without filling! Flaky and very thin! So, as soon as I came across a new recipe, I decided to try it. Yes, and yogurt dough, I have not tried this yet. I will cook cakes in the oven and in a frying pan – let’s see how it tastes better!

Ingredients

  • Yogurt – 1 glass
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • Flour – 400-450 g
  • Baking powder – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vegetable oil – for frying
  • Butter – for lubrication

Directions

  1. In fact, the recipe for yoghurt cakes is very simple. I have unsweetened yogurt, you can take any. With sweet yogurt, the tortillas will be sweet.
  2. Stir in yogurt, eggs, salt and vegetable oil.
  3. Mix the flour with baking powder and, gradually adding flour to the yogurt mixture (not all at once), knead the soft dough. The dough is slightly sticky, do not add much flour, do not hammer it.
  4. Cover the dough and leave for 30 minutes. During this time, I mixed it once.
  5. Sprinkle flour on the table. We divide the dough into pieces that will fit in your pan (I have 100 g each).
  6. Fry some of the cakes in a pan.
    Roll the dough pieces into thin cakes. The dough should be rolled out evenly.
  7. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan (but not until it smokes). Fry the cakes in a skillet over medium heat.
  8. The cakes are fried at lightning speed, swell. Fragrant!
  9. I cut the second part of the dough into 50 g pieces and rolled them out. I put the small cakes on a baking sheet, greased with butter and sprinkled with flour.
    While we heat the oven, let the cakes stand for 10 minutes.
  10. We bake the cakes in the oven at 200 degrees until golden brown. If the cakes have had enough time to distance, then they inflate.
    Grease the still hot cakes with a piece of butter.
  11. The oven cakes have an amazing pocket for the filling – a great idea for breakfast.
  12. But I prefer fried cakes with yogurt. They are soft, lush, awesome!
