Shakshuka with Brussels Sprouts

Shakshuka recipe, which is made from eggs, Brussels sprouts, and olives. A dish with lemon juice is served.

Ingredients

  • Brussels sprouts – 450 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Butter – 15 g
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Pitted olives – 6 pcs.
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Finely chop the garlic and olives.
  2. Cut the roots off the heads of Brussels sprouts. Cut each head of cabbage in half and then chop finely. Place the cabbage in a bowl (it should make about 4 cups), sprinkle with salt and pepper, and stir.
  3. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Put the cabbage and garlic in the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 minute.
  4. Put chopped olives with cabbage, mix well.
  5. Pour the eggs onto the cabbage “pillow” so that they do not touch each other. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Pour 2 tablespoon into the pan. tablespoons of water, cover the pan with a lid, cook for about 2 minutes. During this time, the whites should be completely curdled, and the yolks should remain slightly liquid.
  7. Remove the frying pan from the stove, pour lemon juice on the Brussels sprouts shakshuka. Serve immediately.
