Instructions

  1. Wash, drain and remove the stems from the fruit (frozen fruit can of course also be used). Stone the cherries.
  2. Put the fruits in a saucepan. Add the inside of the vanilla pod (if you like, you can add more vanilla) and mash the whole thing with a potato masher. Add the preserving sugar and bring to the boil while stirring over high heat, simmer for at least 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Then remove from the hotplate. Immediately fill the prepared glasses to the brim. Close with twist-off lids, turn over and leave on the lid for about 5 minutes.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
