Stew of Vegetables and Smoked Sausage (Slow Cooker)

Here is such an unusual stew of fresh vegetables, sauerkraut, and sausages is prepared with a beer in a slow cooker (slow cooker).

Ingredients

  • Young small potatoes (cut in half) – 230 g
  • Medium carrots (cut into 1.5 cm pieces) – 3 pieces
  • Salad onion (cut into thin slices) – 1 pc.
  • Smoked sausage (cut into rings) – 450 g
  • Strong or non-alcoholic beer – 300 g
  • Chicken broth – 1 glass
  • Paprika – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Caraway seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper (crumbled) – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sauerkraut (washed and drained) – 400 g
  • Hot boiled spaghetti – 3 cups
  • Whole grain mustard (optional)

Directions

  1. Place potatoes, carrots, and onions in a bowl of a large slow cooker. Place the sausage on top.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine beer, broth, paprika, cumin and pepper. Pour the contents of a slow cooker with this spicy mixture, top with cabbage.
  3. Close the slow cooker and cook on slow power for about 7-9 hours or on high power for 3.5-4.5 hours.
  4. Place the spaghetti in serving bowls and place the stew on them using a slotted spoon. If you wish, you can pour the juice from the stew into the dish. It is good to serve mustard with this dish (optional.)
