Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet yeast (dry yeast)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar, for the sweet version
  • Fat, for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, sugar (vanilla sugar for the sweet version) and yeast. Warm the milk lukewarm in a milk pot. Add the eggs and salt. Whisk well. Now add the egg milk to the flour mixture. Cover everything and let it rest for 30 minutes in a warm place.
  2. Then bake small cakes in a pan with a sauce ladle until golden yellow on both sides.
  3. For example, fruit compote, applesauce, maple syrup etc. go with it, otherwise you can mix corn, ham, herbs etc. into the dough (without vanilla sugar).
