Apple Omelet in the Oven

The original breakfast is a sweet airy omelet with apples and cinnamon. Such an unusual omelet is cooked in the oven, making it lush and similar in consistency to the most delicate soufflé. Worth a try!

Ingredients

  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Apple – 1 pc. (200 g)
  • Potato starch – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Butter – for greasing the mold

For filing (optional):

  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
  • Honey – 2-3 tbsp

Directions

  1. We prepare products according to the list.
    Airy omelet with apples cooks quickly enough, so it is best to turn on the oven in advance to warm up to 190 degrees.
  2. We break the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks.
  3. We wash the apple, dry it and rub it on a coarse grater into a deep bowl.
  4. Add egg yolks and starch.
  5. We mix.
  6. Mix the egg whites with sugar and beat with a mixer until they become dense foam.
  7. In parts, each time gently mixing movements from the bottom up, add the whipped whites to the yolk-apple mass.
  8. Grease the baking dish with butter. We spread the airy egg-apple mass into a mold and gently level it.
  9. Cook the apple omelet in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for about 20 minutes, until the egg mass sets.
  10. The airy apple omelet is ready. Serve it to the table, sprinkle with cinnamon if desired and add honey.
