Ingredients

  • 2 rolls, stale, or 4 fresh ones
  • 375 ml milk
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 500 g apples
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoon almond (s), pens
  • liter ⅛ cream
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 lemon (s), grated zest
  • some sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut the rolls into thin slices. Mix 1/4 l milk with vanilla sugar and dip the bread roll in it. Cut the apples into slices, fry them in butter and dust them with a little sugar until they caramelize. Put soaked rolls and apples alternately in a greased baking dish and sprinkle with almond sticks. Whisk the rest of the milk with the cream, eggs, sugar and lemon zest and pour over it.
  2. BAKING TIME: 30-35 min at 220 ° C
