  • 2 packs puff pastry, frozen (total approx. 540 g)
  • 150 g quark (curd cheese)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 50 grams sugar
  • some vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), juice and zest
  • 1 egg (s), for brushing

Instructions

  1. Mix the curd cheese, an egg, sugar, vanilla sugar, juice and finely grated zest of half a lemon together well.
  2. Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 6 equal squares, place about 1 1/2 tablespoons of filling in the middle of each square and knock in the four corners like a golf club. Brush with egg and bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for 30 - 40 minutes.
  3. They taste very good warm and cold, and can be served lukewarm with fresh berries. These pastries are also suitable to take with you when you are on the go.
