Apple Strudel

Apple strudel is a delicious puff pastry dessert with apples, nuts and raisins.

Ingredients

  • Yeast-free puff pastry – 250 g
  • Apples – 500 g
  • Raisins – 50 g
  • Walnuts – 50 g
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Bread crumbs – 4 tbsp
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil – for greasing the dough

How to make apple strudel

Directions

  1. For the filling, apples must be peeled and cored. Cut the apples into thin slices and combine with raisins, nuts, sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Roll out the dough very thinly, grease it with vegetable oil, 2 cm away from the edges.
  3. Sprinkle half of the rolled dough with 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs and place the entire filling on this half. Sprinkle with the remaining breadcrumbs on top.
  4. Roll the dough into a tight roll and pinch the edges well. To make it easier to roll up and not tear the thin dough, you can use a silicone mat or parchment paper. If there is neither one nor the other, then the rolled dough can be placed on a towel and roll up the roll with it.
  5. Lubricate the apple strudel with an egg on top and bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Serve the apple strudel warm, garnished with a scoop of ice cream or chocolate.
