- 750 g blackberries
- 250 g elderberries
- 400 g suar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 bottle red wine, drier, e.g. Dornfelder
- 1 bottle schnapps, (grain or vodka (38%))

- Wash the blackberries and elderberries, sort and place in a saucepan. Add sugar and vanilla sugar and top up with the red wine. Bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes (not too long), remove from heat and let steep for 24 hours.
- The next day, mix everything with the schnapps, filter through a cloth (do not squeeze the berries!) And fill the liqueur into bottles.
- The amount makes about 3 0.7 liter bottles.
- This liqueur also tastes very good with other fruits, e.g. with sour cherries or plums.
