Bruschetta with Squid Pieces

This dish will delight you with a range of Mediterranean flavors. Fragrant squid, crunchy baguette, spicy chili peppers – you will definitely love this bruschetta. The recipe is prepared at home before serving on the festive table.

Ingredients

  • white bread – 10 slices;
  • squids – 4 pcs.;
  • tomatoes – 2-3 pcs.;
  • chili – 2 small pods;
  • garlic – 2-4 cloves;
  • lemon – 1 pc.;
  • olive oil – 2 tablespoons l.

Directions

  1. Cut the baguette into slices diagonally up to 2 cm thick.
    fry the slices in a grill pan without using oil. You can also dry in the oven or in a regular frying pan.
  2. Cooking squid. If these are carcasses, we clean, remove the hard particles.
    If these are rings, defrost, dry. We cut the squid into small rectangles. On one side, we make neat cuts with a knife.
  3. Cut the chili into small pieces. For those who like piquancy without pungency, we suggest replacing hot peppers with Bulgarian.
  4. Chop the garlic, rub the lemon zest. Combine with squid pieces, pepper, and olive oil, mix.
  5. Fry the resulting filling in a hot frying pan for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Prolonged frying will make the squid tough, so it’s important not to overexpose. Let cool slightly.
  7. Put the tomato filling on the prepared slices of bread, and on top – from the squid. Salt, pepper to taste, serve.
