Cabbage for Garnish

One of the favorite side dishes in many families. Delicious, tender, and aromatic cabbage turns out. Yes, and not a lot of hassle.

Ingredients

  • Sweet paprika (ground) – 1 teaspoon
  • Thyme – 3-4 branches.
  • Vegetable oil – 1/4 cup
  • Bulb onions (I have a large one) – 1 piece
  • White cabbage / Cabbage – 1.5 kg
  • Basil (dried) – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Coarsely chop the cabbage.
  2. Transfer to a plastic bag. Add all the spices, season with salt, pour with oil (half of the amount specified in the ingredients, leave the other half for frying the onions). Tie the bag and shake well.
  3. Put the entire contents of the package in a baking dish and send to an oven preheated to 180 * C for 1 hour.
  4. Meanwhile, chop the onion coarsely and fry it in the remaining oil until half cooked.
  5. After the time has elapsed, remove the cabbage from the oven, add the onion to it, mix well and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  6. The garnish is ready.
