Asparagus Garnish

A recipe for a real spring of natural vitamins and microelements – a side dish of fresh asparagus.

Ingredients

  • Asparagus shoots – 10-12 pieces
  • Water – 2/3 Glass
  • Olive oil – 1/4 Cup
  • Parmesan cheese – 50-70 grams
  • Tomatoes – 10 Pieces

Directions

  1. Thoroughly wash and peel the asparagus shoots, removing all hard parts, cut into 5-7 cm pieces.
  2. In a high skillet, place the finished chopped asparagus shoots, pour water over it so that the liquid covers the shoots, and put on medium heat. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, until the asparagus is tender.
  3. Thoroughly drain all water. Sprinkle the cooked asparagus with olive oil, sprinkle with grated Parmesan, add the tomato halves, salt to taste.
  4. Cover again and simmer for another 2 minutes to melt the cheese. A wonderful side dish ready to be served with meat and fish dishes.
