  • 225 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 60 g butter, cold
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 50 g chocolate decor (chocolate chips)
  • 150 ml milk

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Add the butter in flakes and rub into a crumbly dough with your fingers. Add sugar and chocolate chips and stir with the milk to form a smooth batter (works great with a spoon).
  2. Roll out on a lightly floured work surface into a 12 cm x 12 cm square (approx. 25 mm thick) and cut into 9 squares. Place enough space on a lightly greased tray, brush with milk and bake in a preheated oven at 220 ° C (top / bottom heat) for about 10-12 minutes - until they are golden yellow and risen nicely.
