Herring Sandwiches

Decorate the festive table with mouth-watering herring and olives sandwiches. The sandwiches prepared according to the proposed recipe turn out to be both hearty and beautiful at the same time.

Ingredients

  • Lightly salted herring fillet – 1 pc. (100 g)
  • Olives – 3 pcs.
  • Chicken eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Fresh parsley – 3 sprigs
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Mayonnaise – 1.5 tbsp
  • Black bread – 3 slices
  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. We prepare the necessary ingredients for the herring sandwiches. Boil chicken eggs. We also need a cutting board, a knife, and a frying pan for toasting bread.
  2. First, let’s prepare the base for the sandwiches. Cut the bread into slices. Use pre-cut bread.
  3. Pour vegetable oil into a preheated pan. We transfer bread slices to the pan, fry them on both sides.
  4. Rub hot bread slices with a peeled clove of garlic.
  5. We clean the boiled eggs from the shell. Grind them on a grater.
  6. Add chopped parsley to the eggs, season with salt to taste, and season with ground black pepper.
  7. We fill the egg mass with mayonnaise and mix.
  8. Cut the herring fillet into pieces. Cut the olives in half.
  9. Grease the toasted pieces of bread with egg mass with parsley.
  10. Put a piece of herring on top of each piece. Place half an olive next to it.
