Peach Сobbler with Vanilla

Cobbler recipe with fresh peaches, lemon zest and vanilla extract.

Ingredients
- Ripe peaches – 900 Grams
- Sugar – 3/4 Cup
- Starch – 1
- Egg – 1 Piece
- Vanilla extract – 1/2 Teaspoon
- Lemon zest – 1 Teaspoon
- Wheat flour – 3/4 Cup
- Baking Powder – 1/4 Teaspoon
- Salt – 1 Pinch
Directions
- Preheat oven to 190 degrees. Wash peaches, peel, remove seeds and cut in half. Cut each peach half into 3-4 slices.
- Combine the chopped peaches, ана cup sugar, and the starch in a large bowl. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Prepare the dough. Whisk the butter and remaining ½ cup sugar in a medium bowl with a wooden spoon or electric mixer until smooth.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, grated lemon zest and beat together until smooth.
- Add flour, baking powder and salt and stir.
- Place the peaches in a baking dish. Spoon the dough over the fruit.
- Bake until the peaches are bubbling and the crust is golden brown, 50-55 minutes. Let the cobbler cool slightly and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
