Ingredients

  • 500 g potato (s)
  • 250 g ham, diced
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 1 small salad, (endive)
  • salt
  • 30 g butter

Instructions

  1. Wash the endive, cut into fine strips and set aside.
  2. Peel the potatoes, boil them in salted water, drain them. Mash the potatoes, process them into mashed potatoes and add the buttermilk.
  3. Peel the onion, chop it finely and fry it well with the diced ham in the heated butter, then stir into the mashed potatoes and season with salt. Just before serving, fold in the endive strips.
  4. Buttermilk is supposed to make the mashed potatoes looser, but you can also use normal milk.
