Ingredients

  • 500 g bread (black bread, stale bread)
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 50 g raisins
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 0.5 liter ½ milk

Instructions

  1. Bring the milk to the boil and pour over the black bread. When it is swollen, add 1 1/4 l water, salt, bring to the boil and then simmer for 40 minutes. Then stir through a sieve and put back into the pot. Add the raisins and sugar, leave to steep for 10 minutes and stir in the butter just before serving.
  2. Good Appetite!!
