For the dough:

  • Butter – 180 g
  • Sour cream – 300 g
  • Wheat flour – 500 g
  • Soda – 0.3333 teaspoon.
  • Fine salt – 0.25 teaspoon.

  • Walnuts – 200 g
  • Sugar – 200 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Powdered sugar – for dusting

  1. To make the filling, place the walnuts in a blender bowl and chop into crumbs.

  2. Transfer the nuts to a bowl, add granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and melted butter. Stir.
  3. Combine sifted wheat flour, fine salt, and diced (or grated) butter to make a shortbread cookie dough in a large bowl.
  4. Rub flour and butter into crumbs with your hands.
  5. Combine sour cream with soda.
  6. Stir.
  7. Add to dough.
  8. Knead a soft dough that should not stick to your hands. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  9. Divide the dough into three parts. While working with one part, put the rest of the dough in the refrigerator.
    Each part must be rolled into the thinnest possible layer.
  10. Cut a 30×30 cm square and divide it into 9 10×10 cm squares. Also send the dough cuts to the refrigerator.
    Place a small amount of nut filling (0.5-1 teaspoon) on each square. Roll into a roll.
