Ingredients

  • g 1,200 white cabbae
  • 900 g potato (s), (floury)
  • Lard, or oil
  • 1 onion (s)
  • Condensed milk, 10%
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Ground caraway
  • ml 1,500 water
  • 1 cube vegetable stock
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the cabbage into fine strips. Cut the peeled potatoes into small cubes. Steam the diced onions in lard or oil until light yellow.
  2. Dissolve the stock cube in the water (hot) and add to the saucepan with the cabbage, salt and caraway seeds. Steam with a lid on it (approx. 30 min). Add the potatoes and steam everything until done. Remove part of the broth with a ladle.
  3. Then mash everything and season with salt and pepper. Finally stir in some condensed milk until it is nice * mushy *.
  4. Applesauce and bratwurst also taste good with it.
