We invite you to cook an old Russian dish. The jail resembles an okroshka, and you can make a jail in just a few minutes. The traditional ingredients of this cold dish are rye bread and kvass or water. We supplemented the jail with green onions, cucumber, and horseradish.

Ingredients

  • Rye bread – 2 slices
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Green onion (bottom) – 1 bunch
  • Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
  • Horseradish table (ready-made seasoning) – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground red pepper – to taste
  • Mineral water or kvass – 200 ml

Directions

  1. Slices of rye bread are slightly dried in the oven (you can also in the microwave). Rub the dried bread slices with a clove of garlic.
  2. Then we cut the bread into small cubes.
  3. We wash the fresh green onions (use the lower, white part). Finely chop the onion. Add salt and knead the onion with your hands a little.
  4. Chop a fresh cucumber, add to the onion. Add horseradish.
  5. Season a little with salt, ground pepper, pour in vegetable oil.
  6. We add bread.
  7. Fill the bread with mineral water (or kvass).
  8. Stir the ingredients and start tasting the turi.
