Yeast-Free Bread with Beer

This simple bread is very similar in flavor and texture to traditional yeast bread. The dough is kneaded without much effort and does not require time for proving, but due to the light beer in the composition, the same airiness of the crumb is achieved. The bread is tender, moist, and very tasty. And if the slices are lightly fried before serving, it will become even tastier.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Light beer – 180 ml
  • Flour – 220 g (1.5 cups with a capacity of 250 ml)
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon

To prepare the form:

  • Butter – 30 g
  • Corn flour – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Sift the wheat flour and baking powder into a deep bowl. Add salt and sugar.
  2. Make a small indentation in the center and pour in half of the beer. Whisk in a circle. Then pour in the rest of the beer.
  3. Stir until smooth. The dough turns out to be vicious, a wide strip stretches behind the whisk. Grease a baking dish generously with butter and sprinkle with cornmeal.
  4. Transfer the dough to the prepared mold and place in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 25-30 minutes. The bread has almost doubled, the crust is baked and turned into an appetizing light brown color.
  5. Thanks to the sprinkling of the mold, the beer bread comes out of it easily. Place the bread on a wire rack until it cools completely.
  6. Appetizing homemade bread is perfect for sandwiches and first courses. The taste of the beer is not felt, but a pleasant aroma and airy porosity are present in this bread.
