Almond Snails Cookies

My daughter, once again looking at the photos of the children helping in the preparation of cookies, asked: “Well, when will we bake with you too ?!” Sofia loves to “help” 🙂 me in the kitchen, and I decided not to discourage her and help her. The cookies turned out to be very aromatic and tasty. We did it for the first time, but now I am sure it will become our frequent guest. Thanks to the competition “Silver Line for the Joy of Children” for the opportunity to see all the children :), and most importantly, to give them a lot of pleasure both in cooking and in eating !!!

Ingredients

  • Butter (or margarine) – 50 g
  • Sour cream – 3-4 tbsp
  • Egg yolk – 1 pc
  • Sugar – 0.5 stack.
  • Baking dough – 1 teaspoon.
  • Wheat flour / Flour – 1 stack.
  • Almonds – 1 stack.
  • Powdered sugar – 3-5 tbsp
  • Flavoring (Almond)
  • Egg white – 1 pc

Directions

  1. Combine sour cream, egg yolk, and sugar. Melt butter or margarine, cool slightly, and add to the dough. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Mix half the flour with baking powder and add to the dough. Add more flour gradually until a thick dough is obtained. Knead the dough, it should easily come off your hands and at the same time should not be very dense. Add more flour if necessary. Because it took me more than a glass. Cut the dough into pieces. Form each piece into a ball, roll it into a thin circle.
  3. It is better to prepare the filling in advance. To do this, pour boiling water over the almonds for 15 minutes. for easier cleansing. Then you can dry it a little in a preheated oven and grind it into flour in a blender. Add powdered sugar
  4. A few drops of flavor (I have one like this)
  5. And egg white. Mix everything well. (You don’t need to add the egg white.)
  6. Put some of the fillings on the dough, distribute it, roll the dough into a tube.
  7. Cut the tube into pieces about 1-2 cm.
  8. Line a baking sheet with baking paper, line the cookies, and bake over medium heat in the oven until golden brown. Better not to hold than to overexpose. So as not to dry out.
