Deep-Fried Chicken Hearts in Cheese Batter

Ordinary chicken hearts make a gorgeous dish. First we boil the hearts and then deep-fry them in an airy cheese-based batter. The batter is ideal for hearts, making them tender and very tasty.

Ingredients

  • Chicken hearts – 300 g
  • Hard cheese – 80 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 130 g (1 glass of 200 ml)
  • Soda – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground sweet paprika – 0.5-1 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Ground dried garlic – 0.5-1 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Salt – 0.75 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 300 ml

Directions

  1. Prepare everything according to the list.
  2. Rinse chicken hearts, dry, cut off the fat part with large vessels.
  3. Boil 1 liter of water in a saucepan. Transfer the hearts to boiling water, salt and cook over medium heat for 20-35 minutes (depending on the size of the hearts). Then put the hearts on a sieve. Allow time for the glass, water and hearts to cool slightly.
  4. Grate cheese on a fine grater.
  5. Transfer the cheese to a bowl, add the egg.
  6. Pour 100 ml of water into a bowl, add flour, baking soda, ground pepper and paprika, dried garlic.
  7. Stir the ingredients well to form a homogeneous thick batter.
  8. Transfer the hearts to the dough, dip on all sides.
  9. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan or cauldron. Gently place the hearts one at a time in the boiling oil. Cook in batches (4-5 pcs.) Until golden brown, 2-3 minutes. Put the hearts on a napkin to absorb excess fat.
  10. Serve ready-made delicious chicken hearts in cheese batter, deep-fried, serve.
  11. You can serve the dish with a sauce to taste or with sour cream. It turns out very tasty!
