Donuts “Churros”

The homeland of churros in Spain, where this miracle is sold at every turn. There, small fried cookies are served primarily as sweet snacks. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, this treat will definitely be your favorite.

Ingredients

  • Butter160 g
  • Milk480 ml
  • Sugar 4 tbsp
  • Vanilla sugar 1 tbsp
  • Wheat flour380 g
  • Egg 6 pcs.
  • Sunflower oil 0.5 l
  • Cream200 ml
  • Dark chocolate100 g
  • Chili 1 chips
  • Rum2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Powdered sugar to taste

Directions

  1. Heat 100 g butter in a frying pan and add milk to it, 3 tbsp sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, stir. Add flour and knead the dough while stirring.
  2. Remove the dough from heat, let it cool, beat in eggs one at a time, stirring well. Transfer the dough to a piping bag with the star-shaped attachment.
  3. Heat the butter to 175 ° C and squeeze out strips of dough about 10 cm long, cutting them off with scissors. Fry the future donuts on each side for about 2 minutes, until golden brown. Then catch them and place them on a napkin or paper towel, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  4. To make the sauce, heat the cream and remaining butter with sugar, add salt, rum, chocolate, and chili, and stir. Heat for a couple of minutes until the chocolate is dissolved.
  5. Churros can be sprinkled with more than just icing sugar. Add some cinnamon for a richer flavor. Serve the treat when the chocolate is still warm. This is how they do it in the homeland of this treat – in sunny Spain.
