Ingredients

  • 300 g flour, (type 550)
  • 500 ml milk, (warmed up)
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 30 g yeast, fresh
  • 200 g flour, (type 550)
  • 30 g fat
  • 30 grams sugar
  • 250 g raisins
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Make a dough with 300 g flour, milk (warmed up), eggs and yeast and place in the oven (preheated to 50 degrees) for 15 minutes.
  2. After 15 minutes, add 200 g flour, fat and sugar to the dough and knead briefly. Place in the oven (preheated to 50 degrees) for another 15 minutes.
  3. Now knead in 250 g raisins and place in the oven (preheated to 50 degrees) again for 15 minutes.
  4. After the dough has significantly increased its volume, drain the oil (sunflower oil) in a pan and spoon in the dough (about 2 tablespoons should be enough for each struwen) and bake on both sides.
  5. Bake the struwen on each side over medium heat, they should turn golden yellow.
  6. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and serve.
  7. Tip: You can use apple pieces instead of the raisins.
