Ingredients

  • 100 g flowers (still reen plantain inflorescences)
  • 1 teaspoon clarified butter or butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Flour and / or breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Wash off the plantain inflorescences collected on the meadow, there are around 10-15 pieces and dry on kitchen paper.
  2. Heat the clarified butter in a pan and add the washed plantain inflorescences to the pan. Season with salt and pepper and sauté in clarified butter until soft.
  3. I put the side dish lightly floured in the pan and topped it with breadcrumbs.
  4. You can then serve this side dish with potatoes and a lamb chop or any other briefly fried meat dish. The side dish is served either with hollandaise sauce or with brown butter.
  5. Let yourself be surprised, it tastes good and is also healthy.
