Ingredients
- 1 kg pumpkin (s) (garden pumpkin or squash)
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 onion (s)
- 50 g butter
- 1 bunch basil
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 lemon (juice it)
- 60 g cheese (rated Emmentaler or mountain cheese)
- 400 g pasta (short whole wheat pasta)

- Peel the pumpkin. Scrape out the soft inside of the pumpkin with the seeds. Cut the pumpkin flesh into small cubes. Peel and chop the clove of garlic and onion. Melt the butter in a large deep pan with a lid and fry the onion with the garlic until golden. Add the pumpkin cubes and simmer over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, not too soft.
- In the meantime, cook the noodles in plenty of salted water until they are firm to the bite. Finely chop the basil. Season the vegetables with salt and cayenne pepper, add the lemon juice and basil. Return the drained pasta to the saucepan and mix thoroughly with the pumpkin vegetables and cheese.
