Squid Stuffed with Carrots and Apples in Sour Cream Sauce

You will pleasantly surprise your guests with this unusual dish. And, meanwhile, for the preparation of stuffed squid with carrots and apples, neither expensive delicacies nor much time is needed.

Servings: 6


  • Fresh squids – 500 g
  • Carrots – 2 pcs.
  • Apples – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Sour cream sauce – 300 g
  • Cloves – 1-2 pinches
  • Salt – 0.25 teaspoon


  1. Prepare food for cooking stuffed squid in sour cream sauce.
  2. Peel and wash carrots, finely chop them.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Put the carrots and, while stirring, lightly fry them over medium heat (5 minutes).
  4. Add a little water (2-3 tablespoons) and simmer until tender (5 minutes).
  5. Peel and chop the apples.
  6. Combine prepared apples with carrots, simmer under the lid for another 5 minutes.
  7. Grind the cloves.
  8. Add salt and cloves to the minced meat.
  9. The easiest way to do this is with coarse salt: you need to rub the carcasses with salt, thus removing the skin. In addition, the insides must be removed. Then rinse the squid and add salt if necessary.
  10. Fill pre-salted squid with minced meat.
  11. Put them in a saucepan, pour sour cream sauce. If the sauce is thick, add some water. Simmer stuffed squid with carrots and apples for 30-40 minutes at a low boil.

Serve hot stuffed squid in sour cream sauce to the table.
