Strudel with Apples and Nuts

Delicious puff pastry roll, with a ruddy, crispy crust and aromatic apples inside.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry (ready-made, defrosted) – 250 g
  • Apples – 2 pcs.
  • Bread – 2 slices
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vanilla sugar – 10 g
  • Nuts – a handful
  • Powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Remove the dough from the bag. Place it on a floured table.
  2. Roll out the dough as thin as possible. Only not so that it was torn from being lifted from the surface.
  3. Chop nuts with a knife.
  4. Crumble the bread in a skillet and brown the bread until golden brown. After removing from the pan, grind with a rolling pin.
  5. Pour on the bottom layer and distribute nuts and bread crumbs evenly. Step back 3-4 cm from the edges, and 5 cm from above, they will need to be squeezed after twisting.
  6. Chop apples finely sprinkle with cinnamon and vanilla sugar. Spread evenly over nuts and crumbs.
  7. Roll it up. Transfer the roll to a baking sheet lined with parchment. Grease the roll with butter on top.
  8. Send the strudel into a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 35 minutes. If you have time, grease the strudel 2 more times with oil during baking, then the crust will come out more glossy and crispy.
    The finished roll can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
