Summary

After baking, cut the cake straight off if it is still in the shape. Let cool down very well. I do it upside down with the floor / wheels facing down. Only remove carefully from the mold after it has completely cooled down.
To decorate e.g., cover with icing, possibly color the icing for the different wagons with food coloring in different colors. Use gummy bears as passengers. Glue on Smarties as tires with liquid couverture.
