Yeast Pies with Minced Meat and Green Onions

Very simple and very tasty pies with minced meat and green onions. Minced meat is pre-fried in a small amount of oil and then combined with green onions. The pies are very airy and aromatic, they can be served with the first hot course or separately, as a snack.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Milk – 120 ml
  • Drinking water – 130 ml
  • Wheat flour, premium grade – 400 g
  • Vegetable oil – 25-30 ml
  • Dry yeast – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp (no slide)
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon

For filling:

  • Minced meat (beef or pork and beef) – 400 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Green onions – 6 pcs.
  • Fresh parsley – 10 g (1/3 bunch)

To grease the pies:

  • Egg – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Rinse and dry the onion and parsley.
    During the cooking process, you will need cling film and parchment paper.
  2. Combine milk and water in a bowl and heat to 38-40 degrees. Add sugar.
  3. Pour in dry yeast and mix.
  4. Leave the yeast mixture in a warm place for 5-10 minutes, until a frothy cap appears.
    Then add salt to the activated yeast.
  5. Sift the flour and add portions to the yeast mixture, stirring with a whisk until the dough is thick enough.
  6. Then knead the dough thoroughly with your hands. At the end of kneading, add vegetable oil.
  7. The pie dough should be soft and elastic. Cover the bowl with yeast dough with cling film and send it to a warm place to rise for 40-50 minutes.
  8. Put the minced meat in a frying pan heated with vegetable oil and fry, stirring constantly, for 10-15 minutes. At the end of frying, add salt and ground pepper.
  9. Finely chop the onion and parsley.
  10. Put the fried minced meat in a bowl, add the herbs, mix and let cool.
  11. After the expiration of time, the dough increases in volume by more than 2 times.
  12. Lightly knead the dough, put it on the table and divide it into 4 equal parts.
  13. Then we cut each part of the dough into 4 equal parts.
  14. Round the pieces of dough and then roll them into round cakes with a diameter of about 9 cm.
  15. Put 1 tablespoon (no slide) of meat filling in the center of the flatbread.
  16. Carefully pinch the dough over the filling.
  17. Turn the pies over with the seam down, lightly press with your hand, giving the pies a beautiful shape. Thus, we form pies from the remaining dough and filling.
  18. Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the formed pies on a baking sheet, cover with foil and leave for 20-30 minutes for proofing.
    15 minutes before the end of the proofing, turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  19. After the time has elapsed, break the egg into a bowl and shake it with a fork (or beat it with a whisk). Lubricate the pies with an egg using a culinary brush and send them to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15-25 minutes, until golden brown. (focus on your oven).
  20. Yeast pies with minced meat and green onions are ready.
    Let cool for 5 minutes.
  21. Put the pies on a plate and serve hot.
    From the specified number of products, I got 16 pies.
  22. The pies are very tasty, with aromatic filling and light airy dough.
