Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 6 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 5 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 packet sauce powder, vanilla, for 0.5 l milk for boiling
  • 3 tablespoon cranberries
  • Icing sugar for dusting
  • 6 croissant (s) for baking

Instructions

  1. Quarter the apples (remove the core) and cut into thin wedges. Heat the apple wedges with lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan and cook covered for about 3 minutes.
  2. Place the croissants in a flat baking dish and spread the apples with the juice from the pot on top.
  3. Mix the eggs with about 12 tablespoon of the milk, the sauce powder and 3 tablespoon of sugar until smooth. Bring the rest of the milk to the boil and stir in the sauce powder mixture. Cook for about 1 minute while stirring, then pour over the croissants and apples.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 15 minutes until golden yellow. Place the cranberries in blobs on top and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
