Ingredients

  • 1 kg cheese, grated (preferably Cheddar or Gouda)
  • 1 onion (s), diced
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sauce, hot, e.g., Salsa
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ pepper
  • 350 ml beer
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Possibly thyme sprig (s) for garnish
  • possibly white bread
  • possibly butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the first 5 ingredients. Slowly add the beer, stirring well and constantly. Stir until it`s nice and creamy. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and let steep for 2 hours. Garnish with thyme to serve.
  2. Great as a dip for crackers, vegetables, etc.
  3. If you want to make it as a pimped grilled cheese sandwich, please proceed as follows:
  4. Take 2 slices of white bread and butter one side of each slice. Put some of the cheese mixture on the NOT buttered side and cover it with the other slice (butter side up). Heat the pan and melt some butter in it. Put sandwiches in and fry for about 3-5 minutes on each side, until the bread is brown and the cheese has melted. Danger! The pan must not be too hot, otherwise the bread will be black and the cheese has not yet melted!
