  • 100 g spahetti
  • 150 g cocktail tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sambal oelek
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly parmesan

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the packet. In the meantime, wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half.
  2. For the caramel, heat a pan and let the butter melt. Add the sugar and let it caramelize carefully. Depending on your taste, you can prepare the caramel darker or lighter.
  3. Now carefully place the cocktail tomatoes in the caramel with the cut surface facing down. Warning, it could easily splash! Let the caramel tomatoes simmer for a few minutes over a low heat and do not stir.
  4. When the pasta is done cooking, pour off the water. Now stir the caramel tomatoes, season with salt, pepper and sambal oelek, add the noodles and stir.
  5. Best served with a nice colorful salad. The dish can be rounded off with parmesan, but I like it better without cheese.
