Ingredients

  • 375 grams flour
  • Salt and pepper, white, from the mill
  • 125 g butter, cold
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 750 g onion (s)
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 250 g cheese, rated, e.., Comte
  • 350 ml milk
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 40 grams flour
  • nutmeg
  • 150 ml water
  • Fat, for the shape
  • Flour, for the mold

Instructions

  1. Quickly rub the flour, salt and butter in pieces with your hands until crumbly. Add cold water and vinegar, knead everything until smooth. Chill for approx. 1 hour.
  2. Peel the onions and cut into rings. Sauté in the hot oil in portions until golden yellow, season. Let cool down.
  3. Mix milk with flour. Bring to the boil while stirring. Simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes. Melt 3/4 of the grated cheese in it. Take off the stove. Whisk eggs and sour cream, stir into sauce and season.
  4. Roll out the dough in a round shape (approx. 40 cm diameter) on a greased, floured tray. Push up the edges a little. Prick the dough several times. Spread the onions on top. Pour the sauce over it, sprinkle the rest of the cheese over it.
  5. Bake in a hot oven (electric oven: 200 ° C, fan oven: 175 ° C) for about 35 minutes.
