Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 500g flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 10 g yeast
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water, lukewarm
  • 50 g butter
  • 200 ml milk

For covering:

  • 150 g bacon, diced
  • 500 g onion (s), finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 200 ml sweet cream

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Dissolve the yeast and sugar together in the water. Melt the butter and mix it first with the milk, then with the dissolved yeast. Knead this mixture with the flour and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1/2 hour.
  2. Fry the bacon cubes in a pan. When enough fat has formed, remove the fried brown bacon and fry the onions in the fat until translucent. Season with salt and pepper and let cool. Mix the eggs with the cream and mix with the onions and diced bacon to form an even mixture.
  3. Roll out the dough and cover a springform pan (30 cm diameter) greased with butter so that a rim is formed. Prick the bottom several times with the fork. Spread the onion mixture evenly on top. Bake the cake for 30-35 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees.
